 The news of Shahid Kapoor falling in love with a Delhi girl may have come out too soon. According to sources, Shahid and his girlfriend Mira Rajput wanted to keep everything under wraps and wanted to make an announcement much later.

 

 

After months of speculation over his engagement with Mira Rajput, Shahid Kapoor recently clarified at an event by saying, “"No, I am not engaged but what you are reading is kind of true as marriage is on the cards at the end of the year."

The actor wants to keep his personal life private and didn’t speak much about the girl. All he said was, “I'll refrain from getting into details. I hope you respect that. I'm here today and I thought it was important for me to acknowledge it in front of the media. Other than that I'm just a normal guy, she's just a normal girl and we should treat it like that. I'm very happy."

So what really happened? How was the cat let out of the bag so soon? Sources close to Shahid’s girlfriend told us that Mira had spoken about her relationship with Shahid, only to a very close friend. However, her trust was broken when the friend leaked that info to the media. When the news came out, she was very heartbroken as she wanted to keep this very private.”

Now that the news is out, Mira’s family members have told her to stay away from commenting on anything. “She is still in college and it gets very difficult to handle all the unneeded attention. Any one close to her, who is trying to ask her anything about Shahid, she is refusing to tell anything.” a source told DC.

Mira is being extremely careful now to make sure nothing further than what has already come makes way to the media. “She in a damage control mode and she is removing all her friends from her face book list who she feels might break her trust. She has shared it with her close circle but now she wants no slip-up.”
